Mphathisi Ndlovu

Mphathisi Ndlovu is a lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Zimbabwe. He graduated with PhD in Journalism from Stellenbosch University (South Africa) in 2016, and is also a research fellow at the same institution. The focus of his PhD was on the intersection of collective memory, identity politics and digital media. Mphathisi’s research interests include critical media theory, collective memory, identity politics, critical discourse analysis, and cultural studies. He holds a Master's degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University (South Africa), and a Bsc Honours degree in Journalism and Media Studies from NUST. Mphathisi has published articles in journals such as African Journalism Studies, African Cultural Studies, Nations and Nationalism, Journal of Genocide Research, African Identities, and Critical Arts.
